We are pleased to announce the acquisition of construction-related assets, including an operating asphalt plant, from Basic Construction in Newport News, VA.

“We enthusiastically welcome more than 80 former Basic employees to Allan Myers as a part of this acquisition,” said Brock Myers, Chief Operating Officer. “I had the opportunity to meet many of these new team members last week at a welcome event held at Basic’s shop in Newport News. The group showed great energy, and it was clear to me that they are a close-knit team who genuinely care for one another. I left feeling confident and excited, knowing that they will be a great fit with our culture.”

This newest addition to our slate of operating asphalt plants is our ninth in Virginia, adding to existing plants in Leesburg, Rockville, Powhatan, Petersburg, New Kent, Chesapeake, Fredericksburg, and Wakefield. It is our 23rd asphalt plant in the Mid-Atlantic region. The construction-related assets include asphalt paving and milling, site and utility, pipe, and storm water management installation activities and infrastructure.
